This is the It!

If you are under the belief that the problems we face as a nation are due to extreme liberal policies then you are probably under the belief that Obama is the problem. That's not the case. The problem is we the people. We the people chose President Barack Obama to return back to the White House for a second term not only in the electorate, but in the popular vote. I refuse to believe we are a country full of "takers" or that we are a "liberal" nation. That's not to say we are a "conservative" nation. We are a free nation. A nation that values the individual over the state. A nation that leads other nations into great causes (e.g. WWII). Now every other superpower in the world is different from the US. European superpowers run socialized health care, have strict regulations on guns, and take care of everyone from cradle to grave. That is why places like Greece are having problems. But for every other nation in the world, there is somewhere to run to. The US. What Obama wants to do is turn us into another European nanny state. The 50,000 Canadians that fled to the US last year for health care reasons won't have anywhere to turn in 2014 when the same exact system is in place here. But that's what people in this country want to be. Or at least that's what the left wing zealots will tell you. But I don't believe that. I think that Mitt Romney wasn't the man for the hour and that David Axelrod and the Obama machine did a terrific job in selling his case to the American people. I don't know, I'm just one man with a blog.

Move to the Left

This country is very quickly moving to the left. With the recent reelection of President Obama, the left wing zealots, the pundits and politicians that make up the European socialist nanny state supporting group masquerading as a somewhat center political party, that we have come to know as the Democrats are spending every minute to move this country farther and farther to the left. Let's look at some examples.

1. Illegal Immigration - The GOP understands they need to create a base within the growing latino population in this country, and a quasi bi-partisan reform bill will be passed to allow illegal immigrants to become legal and to make it easier for Mexicans to legally enter the country. Being the libertarian that I am, I would have to say that I agree with that.

2. Legalization of Marijuana - While I think that this is a good thing, because I am relatively Libertarian, this is still a belief that is generally held by the left, so this is another example of a move to leftism.

3. Guns - Obama plans to enact an assault weapons ban through an executive order. A huge move to the left and a blow to liberty.

4. Gay Marriage - This is going to be tried in front of the supreme court and while I hope that gay people can legally marry, this is also a move to the left.

These are just four big examples. Beware, leftism is ahead, unless the American people wake up and fight it. It's not too late.

Possible Executive Order

Joe Biden said there could be an Executive Order written and signed into law which would tighten gun control. Wow. An executive order? The only reason that Obama won't go through congress is because he knows that a bill tightening gun control would never pass. Pray to God that Obama doesn't go too far.

Could Rand Paul Be Our Next President?

Rand Paul is taking a trip to Israel to see Benjamin Netanyahu and other important figures, and one can only wonder, is he gearing up to take the Democratic machine in 2016. I think he would make a good candidate, and if nominated, would be a large step forward for the Tea Party, who would most likely heavily endorse him. There aren't too many poster children for the Republican Party, so he wouldn't face too much opposition in the primaries. My guess is Jeb Bush will also run, but he won't ge able to win due to his unpopular brother, and he won't take any middle of the road states, due to guilt by association. Maybe Christie will run and possibly Paul Ryan. Now don't worry too much, Barack Obama was relatively unknown until 2008, so there could be someone that none of us know too well. In terms of Democrats, I could see Joe Biden running for president, he's hinted at it a couple of times, and maybe (if he's successful) John Kerry will run. I don't know anything for sure, so this is just a guess, but I'd be willing to bet on what I've said. The only question left is, can a hard right Tea Party candidate like Rand Paul win a general election?

Pinheads, what is it that you don't get?

Obamacare, which goes into effect in 2014, could show a glimpse of what will be done to this country when it's implemented, this year. Obamacare forces employers with over 50 employees to buy healthcare. And since the government will be tracking employers records from 3-12 months previous to the implementation of Obamacare. So what employers with over 50 employees, that relatively close to that number, who can't pay for, or don't want to pay for healthcare doing? They are laying off people in order to save money. What is it that some people in this country just don't get? What don't some of you understand? Please enlighten me, I'm curious. The concept I am talking about is so basic, it's ridiculous. I mean, what do you expect the type of employer I described earlier in the post to do. Say, "Gee, I can either pay lots of money on healthcare, or I can fire twenty people, and slow down business, but save more money. What ever will I do? I'm gonna have to think this one over, but that Obama guy, he's real convincing, so maybe I'll just buy the healthcare and go broke so that all 70 employees lose their jobs". C'mon now. If you are liberal and you are reading this and thinking, "What an idiot, does this guy not understand _____________" then I have good news for you. Inside Liberals is coming out with a talk radio show and we would love to take your call. More info coming later.

Video of the Week

Listen to the People!

It looks like John Boehner will be our Speaker again. Why? Why is John Boehner going to be our Speaker again? We are at a constant struggle with our politicians. When our founding fathers set up the United States they intended for the people to be the leader, not the politicians. I'm not very fond of party politics, as I feel that it can cause politicians to go against their beliefs and "compromise" in hopes that they can get elected again so that they can do good for the country their next term. These people, these Washington politicians, they don't give a rats ass about the people. They only care about getting elected. They only care about their poll numbers. These people think they are so great, that they must "compromise" in the name of getting themselves elected so that they can "help the nation". They act like without them we would all fail. Politicians don't move this country forward. Hard working Americans move this country forward. But that's how the Feinstein's and the Boehner's of the world think. This isn't an issue of Democrat vs. Republican. This isn't Conservative vs. Liberal. This is the People vs. Washington. I would rather have the first 100 people in the phonebook run this country than the clowns we have now. The politicians in this country don't think about what's best for the country. They think of what's best for them. And when we get people who don't do that, we will have a successful congress. Politicians should say "this is what I believe in..." and they should act on their beliefs. Not throw their convictions out the window the first minute they are offered votes for something they want done. Essentially, politicians decide which issues are important to them. They say, "Well it's ok for me to vote against my beliefs on bill x, because I know that I will get more votes for when I present bill y". No, it's not ok. Who are you to decide what issues are important and which aren't? Who are you to say Healthcare is more important, than say Gun's Rights? They are all equally important. Say what you want about Ron Paul, and I'm not saying this because he is a Republican, but he votes with his beliefs. He is the only congressman who, I can think of, that doesn't "compromise" in the name of getting re-elected. And he has served 12 terms. As reported by the Huffington Post (in a not so flattering article, "On November 8, 1999, Paul was the lone nay vote on a motion to suspend the rules and pass an amendment to fund the Office of Government Ethics." Give me an example of Boxer or Boehner doing something like this. Just one. Give me an example of them standing up to the parties, and not trying to vote in order to get votes on other bills, or offering to vote on other things. Congress is an economy of votes. I'm sick of it, and the American people are too. We need to stand up to our politicians. Call your congressman. Call into talk radio shows. Run for office. Don't be afraid. The American public doesn't want more politicians, they want more regular people, we need regular people.

A Late Happy New Year and What We Must Do For 2013

Happy New Year to all Americans. This last year has been one of ups and downs. An up for all of us at Inside Liberals was starting the conservative blog you are reading this very minute. The re-election of President Obama and the majority of Democrats in the Senate have been among the downs, but as Winston Churchill said "Never give in". What conservatives need to realize is that if we want to have any success in the next coming years, and we want to save this country from the tyrannic, socialist, nanny state masked as liberalism, our triumph is necessary. Instead of choosing middle of the road candidates like Mitt Romney, to whom conservatism is a second language, let's pick guys like Ted Cruz. The candidates like Ted Cruz can win. Republicans win election when they sell true conservative values. When Conservative values go toe to toe with liberal values, the conservative values will win. That's how Ronald Reagan won in 1980. Conservatives everywhere must unite this year, or this country will turn into the European cradle to grave nanny state we all fear.
